Ferry Port Overview
Norfolkline have recently announced that
they will be taking over the Zeebrugge to
Rosyth route from May 2009, which was
previously operated by Superfast Ferries.
There will be up to 3 departures per week
from each port.
Zeebrugge is a small village on the Belgian
coast and a subdivision of Bruges, for which
it is its modern international port.
Zeebrugge Ferry Port is located on the North
Sea, the busiest sea in the world, and
because of its central location and easy
access has become Flanders' most important
passenger port.
Bruges / Zeebrugge Ferry Port has a long
history which dates back to the beginning of
the Christian calender with periods of
affluence but also of decline. Every year
more than a million passengers pass through
Zeebrugge Ferry Port.
Zeebrugge is an excellent starting point for
exploring Flanders. Just a few miles away
from Zeebrugge you will find the splendid
medieval town of Bruges with its canals,
historic buildings, great restaurants and
famous chocolat. Or drive from Zeebrugge to
Antwerp, the diamond center of the world,
which takes about 80 minutes and admire its
stunning architectural delights.
You could also drive two hours and go to
Brussels, the bilingual capital of Belgium,
to visit the famous Grand Place, one of
Europe's most beautiful squares.

Zeebrugge
Ferry Port Services
Zeebrugge Ferry Port facilities include a
number of shops with souvenirs and reading
materials, as well as snacks. There is also
a cafe in the ferry terminal.
Facilities for the disabled include
wheelchair access to all areas of the port,
as well as special assistance for those with
boarding difficulties. Passengers are
however advised to notify the Zeebrugge port
in advance of any specific needs that they
may have.

By Road
The Zeebrugge Ferry Terminal is located at
the outer dock (Buitenhaven), Leopold II Dam
(Havendam). In Zeebrugge follow the signs
'Zone 1', 'Car ferries' and 'P&O
Ferries/Hull'.
By Rail
Bruges Central Station is served by national
and international trains. Belgium is well
connected to the European countries France,
Holland and Germany via the TGV Thalys
service with up to 3 train services a day
from Paris to Brussels. From Brussels there
are 4 departures an hour to Bruges. Journey
time about 50 minutes.

By Bus
From Bruges Central Railway
Station to the Zeebrugge
Ferry Port at Leopold II Dam
(Havendam): bus departure is
at 17:00 hours from the main
entrance to the Central
Railway Station. From the
ferry terminal to Bruges
Central Railway Station:
departure is after arrival
of the ferry. Prices are
£2,00 / 3,25 Euro for single
